The Slicing Of The Demon
The story starts in the Ming Dynasty, when executioner To Sz-Hoi (Chan Kam Hung) and his blood brother Shui Yue-Chan (Tse Tin Wah), who is a physician, accidentally step into the town of Cheong Lung. On the surface, Cheong Lung is such a vibrant and prosperous place, but in reality there is a big shocking secret behind its peace and beauty.
Hoi and Chan encounter Fok Tin-Ming (Yueh Hua), the richest man in Cheong Lung, and his shrewish daughter Fok Sin-Yiu (Liu Bernice Jan) respectively. Hoi and Yiu unwittingly become a married couple, but in the meantime, serial murders within the town begin to occur. In the course of the investigation, Hoi finds Chan and himself being caught in a terrible trap. In fact everything is carefully planned by someone. So who is the master-plotter? God or humans? Uncertainty always causes dread and unease...
